​Our Story

For those of you who dont know, all of the Zito clan came from Giuliana, a small town on Sicily, not too far from Palermo. I have traced the family through Catholic Church records which I will be posting under the documents tab as I have time. The church records often noted the trade of the males and their parents names, they are a fascinating read. Gaspare Zito and Maria Tortorici Zito were the first in our family line to come to the US, specifically the Kansas City area.

 

Each one of you has memories or stories that are vitally important to our family history. I encourage you to either send me emails with your memories which I can then post on here, or post them under the blog area and I will try to tranfer them to each persons profile. Pictures of your and your family are vital to this project, especially if you ahve any of the original Zito immigrants!
